Coming Soon: Massimo Osti Studio presents MA.STRUM

Masimo Osti was the designer and creator of CP Company, Stone Island, Left Hand, Bonneville, Massimo Osti Production and more recently Double Use Knitwear. His experimentation with fabrics and fabric treatments, as well as military inspired styling, revolutionized the industry. Osti Studio was founded by Masimo Osti in 1970 and since his passing in 2005, the studio has been managed by his son Lorenzo and daughter Agata, who are intent on carrying on the legacy by bringing the industry, unique, high quality, functional items through their collaboration with Donrad Duncan.

Donrad Duncan is the designer and creator of MA.STRUM, which will feature styles bearing the Massimo Osti Archive label. Duncan, former designer of Victorinox clothing, has stepped behind the design desk at Osti Studio to collaborate on various projects.

The MA.STRUM brand principle is to provide the user that have inherent qualities of timelessness, function and appeal, as well as to create silhouettes and styling that engage the senses of a wide audience. Wearable technology is integrated in various pieces of the line through fabrics and embedded accessories. Included in the Autumn Winter 2009 collection will be outerwear and knits utilizing state of the art fabrics.

Taking a military inspiration one step further, MA.STRUM builds on a naval influence, easily transcending seasons and the globe. The colour pallet consists of navy blues, greys, whites, browns and military greens, with highlights of yellow and orange.

We’re really looking forward to this at Eleven and have missed Osti’s rather special touch for a few years now. The Autumn Winter collection looks just spot on and as we’ve already had a little peak at Spring Summer 2010 we can tell you its one to stay!
